I'm male, 34, on the skinny side.  i exercise 5 times a week. I have ocd/depression/anxiety/anger issues.
I take supplements for better health in general and some of them to keep my ocd/depression down. i think i only managed to get rid of 50% of my ocd/depression. so my main question is, do i take too much supplements? Do i harm my body if i take all of these every day? could all this damage my liver/kidneys?
What should i remove from them? What should i add?

I take these on random times throughout the day, with food:
-Aged Garlic Extract 150mg/day
-Curcumin (400mg longvida + 500mg meriva)/day I'm thinking of adding 750mg bcm95/day
-DHA/EPA 400/600mg/day (i used to take 2000mg EPA but i did not see any benefits in mood)
-GLA 125mg/day
-Maca 2000mg/day
-Cal/Mag 250/125mg/day
-Probiotics 1 or 2 pills/week
-Milk Thistle 75mg/day
-Cranberry extract 250mg/day
-Inositol 500mg/day
-Fruits+Veggies extract 1-pill/day sometimes 2 or 3
-Doctor's Best Multi-Vitamin 1pill/day
-Glucosamine sulfate 500mg/day
-Saffron extract 88mg/day

I take these 10 hours apart:
-Zoloft 100mg/day -in the evening (prescribed by a doctor)
-5Htp 50mg/day -in the morning
-L-Tyrosine 500mg/day -in the morning

Also i drink two glasses a day from one of these:
-Collagen Drink Mix
-Miracle Reds Drink mix
-Whey Protein Powder
-Superior Purples drink mix

I used to take 240mg Ginkgo but i did not see benefits from it in countering sexual dysfunction from Zoloft. I'm thinking about adding it back but using another brand. I used Doctor's Best, I'm thinking about adding Natures Way's. Also maybe adding Magtein too.

The biggest damage is probably done on your bank account...

Explain for each of those supplements the reason why you are taking it (what you wish out of it).

You might get suggestions about better choices or reasons why is just a useless choice, like "-Fruits+Veggies extract 1-pill/day sometimes 2 or 3", just eating your veggies is such a disgusting experience?

Do you really think 1-pill/day sometimes 2 or 3 of that crap will substitute real food?

Get as much as you can from food e.g. make smoothie with greens and berries, eat cruciferous veggies, beans, oatmeal maybe, as well as more greens and berries, etc.

Eat a wide variety of fruits and veggies.

probiotic might be worth it. EPA/DHA.

I didn't research everything I'm not familiar with, but in general these doses don't look excessively high. As long as you have sound reasons for taking these things it seems reasonable to me.

You could drop some of the things you're taking specifically for "good health", given that you are quite young and you exercise regularly. However anything that improves your QOL by alleviating your psychic problems is invaluable.

If I had to question anything it would maybe be the drink mixes. You can probably make better recovery shakes yourself. Also taking 3 curcumins a day seems unnecessary, unless it makes a difference psychologically in which case go for it.

Take phenylalanine and get rid off the the tyrosine and maca, phenylalanine makes tyrosine and increase dopamine. Maca increases dopamine. You could also take tryptophan and get off of the 5htp and Zoloft.

Personally I would get off the garlic, milk thistle, curcumin, cranberry extract, saffron and I don't know about the others.

hi

i removed somethings and reduced the use of others. so what do you think now?
also my diet is not bad. i cook veggies most days, but i rarely touch fruits.

every day:
-Curcumin (400mg longvida + 500mg meriva) I'm thinking of adding 750mg bcm95, or replacing one of them with it.
-DHA/EPA 400/600mg
-GLA 125mg
-Saffron extract 88mg
-Inositol 1000mg
-Doctor's Best Multi-Vitamin 1pill
-Fruits+Veggies extract 1-pill/day sometimes 2
-Aged Garlic Extract 150mg
-Milk Thistle 75mg
-Cranberry extract 250mg
-Zoloft 100mg/day

every other day:
-Cal/Mag 250/125mg
-Glucosamine sulfate 500mg
-Maca 1500mg
-Probiotics 1 pill/week

one glass a day from one of these:
-Collagen Drink Mix
-Miracle Reds Drink mix
-Whey Protein Powder
-Superior Purples drink mix

- i removed 5Htp and L-Tyrosine.
- should i add Ginkgo or Magtein?

i take these things for:
1- depression/ocd/anxiety/anger. (only 50% success. if you suggest something to improve this it would be great)
2- low libido from zoloft (unsuccessfully so far)
3- cystitis.
4- general health.

Get your testosterone, total and free checked. Maybe estradiol, sensitive as well. Ive had those same symptoms and all cured when test and E2 is balanced.

Boron activates everything, iodine makes everything work, zinc is involved with all enzymic pathways, the gut uses 80% of it's energy recovering stuff from serotonin. Vanadium can be used in the liver the feed itself, but more importantly be used in a transport molecule to fuse tyrosine across the blood brain barrier, melatonin anyone?
Boron normalises the sex hormones, it works in male and female species, stops sexual confusion. Search roundup, corporatism, cancer, brittle bone, Heavy metal poisoning, screaming baby syndrome(colic BS). Experiencing the Boron working in all these situations of health has showed me the truth about self health care, no one is going to doctor me anything. HRT is no longer real in many respects, it's nice to be confident about my own health and not have someone else to muck about spoiling my body. Thx.
