I have an incurable condition where the ROS levels are increased, so I'm looking for pretty strong but at the same time safe antioxidants. NAC is one option but according to some studies I've seen it has some potentially nasty side effects, which can do some harm, so no NAC for time being. I'm already eating blueberries, blackcurrants, fruits, vegetables etc. every day, but I still need some extra kick from a bottle. Any advices?

R-Alpha Lipoic Acid recycles other antioxidants, has direct anti-oxidant (although perhaps some pro-oxidant capability as well) power, increases the NAD+ ratio, and activates NRF2 which produces endogenous anti-oxidants. Overall, it has a great safety profile especially in reasonable doses. If you are diabetic at all, be aware it can lower blood sugar.
