For simplicities sake, I'm going to copy+paste a short write up I made for another forum
How I got anhedonia and comorbidity: 2014 prescribed first AD which was a Viibryd titration package and 3 weeks into the 40mg per day dosage pleasure and enjoyment switch was seemingly just flipped off. After discussing the apparent side effect with my PCP I was left just as ignorant as before and after researching online and finding an actual psychiatrist I was officially diagnosed with Anhedonia Jan 2015 by a psychiatrist along with MDD and GAD.
Substances that I have tried that don't work: Abstinence from psychotropic substances (No psych meds, no recreational drugs, no alcohol, no caffeine), SSRI + Bupropion combo, SSRI Nortriptyline combo, LSD, Psilocybin, NSI-189, Ketamine (S-Isomer from reliable source with purity and reagent test supplied), Naltrexone, Effexor, Trintellix, Rexulti, DXM + Bupropion (I really regret this one), Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse, Modafinil
Substance(s) that I have tried that worked: Abilify 5mg once a day (~60 days symptom-free then poop out is soon to follow)
I'm interested in hearing about novel substances or pharmaceuticals and combinations that have a chance to provide relief.
