This treatment appears to have curative potential for cancer.

Inject a tumor with OX40 which is a tumor necrosis factor and stimulate it with TLR9 (or some TLR 7/8s)

By using a small dose injected directly into the tumor only a local and likely safish immune response will occur.

The mice studies found that most curative responses in a range of different cancer types occurred.

OX40 antibodies are being developed by several pharmas.

They are conducting some of the largest phase 1 trials currently underway in cancer using these antibodies.

Apparently pharma has a very large amount of confidence in this approach.

The phase 1 trials for OX40 now have expected patient enrollments of several thousand.

Here is the latest research.

This is a clinical trial that is specifically using an intratumoral OX40 injection with a TLR9.

This treatment should reasonably be expected to have very large (if not curative) therapeutic effects

in at the least a subset of patients.

This clinical trial is one to follow closely, it might just be the real deal.

elfanjo, thank you for replying.

Yes, I agree.

There are currently thousands of patients being enrolled in high dose OX40 phase 1 trials.

It appears that all the big pharmas are investing a large amount of money into OX40.

There are also a range of TLR7/8/9 products in development.

The real key with the combo OX40 TLR9 intratumoral study is that they are using low doses of

each and creating a local immune response this seems smart and safe. I am not so sure about

the high low OX40 trials in which they simply dose iv. Why increase the danger and probably reduce

the effectiveness by dosing in this way?

In the mice study, intratumoral OX40 TLR9 lead to many cures in many types of cancer.

I will be very interested to see whether patients will be able to access this treatment right away under Right to Try in the US.

Dr. Williams has been combining cryoablation with IT injections of anti-CTLA4 and anti-PD1 drugs. Some data here (PMCID: PMC:4645509) and https://www.instagra.../p/BVXtp1vjOEy/

This intratumoral approach looks extremely promising!

Instead of directly treating tumors one can simply let the immune system take over.

Use small safe doses and have very powerful anti-cancer effects.

There should be clinical trials!
