Critical Restitution Government
Better, Faster, Stronger

As America enters a new recession, with massive lay–offs, houses foreclosed on every street, gas going to $10.00 per gallon, and more environmental disasters- What can baby-boomers do to live longer? The Longevity Meme website suggests that most immoralists are libertarian. This should not be surprising since most transhumans, futurist, and cryonicist follow the same political philosophy of the independent thought: "No government is the best form of government". No one needs a "Babysitter" government like Sweden's "cradle to the grave" philosophy. Think about that philosophy: cradle to the-What? – Grave.

Government must become as Kanye West's rap song, "Stronger" suggests "better, faster, stronger." The government must ask itself "what is the rate of return?" for doing any action. So what is the rate of return for investing in a "Longevity Dividend" program? Life expectancy from the 1800's has double in 200 years from 40 to 80 years. Life expectancy may possibly double again from 80 to 160 years in the next 100 years with private medical research.

Social Security (SS) can anticipate high expenses as the baby boomers retire. The SS isn't a bank, but a "pay as you go" program. This has many setbacks:

First: The populations are getting smaller, and not increasing as assumed in the 1930's when the program was set-up.

Second: Some politicians in the past have used Social Security funds for their "pork barrel" projects leaving SS bankrupt or barely alive.

To increase SS payments would mean to raise the SS tax. However, people are over burdened with taxes now. Why work hard, if you'll get taxed more? People have ready started refusing to work overtime because they believe that their money will go toward more taxes. So why work more?

The SS sent me a letter starting that I can't retire until I'm 167. Either they are satisfied about my retirement survival or they know about my cryonics revival plan. Therefore, I have a long time yet to work before I'm allowed to retire by the SS. I have been paying the SS since I was 12. I started working when I was eight going door to door selling Amway soap (never made Diamond) so it would be nice to be healthy and get a retirement check. I wouldn't just sit at home and watch T.V. I plan to go back to college and take some easy courses like nano-molecular DNA repair. It will be as easy as taking wood class in high school. However, now they say I must work longer! What a Rip-off! Thanks US Government for all those lies you told us over the years. Yes, I'm being sarcastic, so are most Americans when they get that letter stating that they can't retire at 65 anymore. Just like in the '60's, so it is today. You just can't trust "Uncle Sam"!

So how can we turn this anger into something useful? How do we get rid of the "fat"? We need a plan; no one wants to look the Grim Reaper in the face. We all want to be free of the disease called "aging". We all want to be "Forever Young".

It will be a long hard road to get there, incentives are considered necessary to encourage the research labs to rethink the problem and find a solution. So how can we turn all of this around?

Maybe there is some hope. Nanotech is becoming "better, faster, smaller" so that the problem of aging cells can be addressed. We are living longer than what our ancestors dreamt, but we still have away to go. Longevity Dividend would increase medical research. Over time, this would, reduce the current cost of health care and reduce government "fat".
