MaxLife is working hard to set up venture capital investment opportunities for people to get in on indefinite life extension. Their tag line is: "Where Biotech, Infotech and Nanotech Meet to Reverse Aging by 2029". They have a list of things they are focusing on to make this happen:

  • Caloric Restriction
  • Evolutionary Genomics
  • Telomere Maintenance
  • Aging Genes and Manipulation
  • Immune System Modulation
  • Extracellular Aging and Regeneration
  • Stem Cells/Regenerative Medicine
  • Tissue/Organ Storage
  • SENS/Mitochondrial Rejuvenation
  • Artificial General Intelligence
  • Nanomedicine
  • Genome Reengineering
  • Utilizing Today’s Technology and Knowledge to Prolong Your Life
  • Cryonics

The list is good, but from what I can see its just a good intermediate step between what places like the NIH do and what the movement for indefinite life extension ultimately is working to do. The NIH puts a lot of their funding in to pure inquiry, knowledge for the sake of it, and some in to applied science. What we need to ultimately do is facilitate current strategies, and the creation and incubation of more strategies that can create indefinite life extension in a way so as to incentive a push for the most direct and relevant ones. MaxLife is like the NIH of the indefinite life extension community. Very valuable, but there is still room to go further.

In the words of the Maximum Life Foundations founder Dave Kekich,

"The answer I’m constantly searching for is how to raise the money on time to develop the technologies during our, including the investors’, lifetime? Until we get the answer, they will continue taking their fortunes to their graves instead of hanging around and using and building their wealth to make this a better world."

So far MaxLifes answer to that has been Venture Capital opportunities. Venture capital holds a lot of promise. It cant be the only avenue though, venture capital alone holds its downfalls. Many of those other avenues are being taken up by many other of us organizations. Thank life for Max Life, thank life for all us other organizations, and together we are all the movement for indefinite life extension.
