This Saturday I will be conducting an interview with Jan Gruber, head of the mitochondria uncoupling research that Imminst supported. The results are in and I will be probing the essence of what was learned. More information to come soon.

It is unlikely to be a live broadcast, so if you have any questions please list them in the forum here and I will try to get them all in during the interview.

Here is the forum discussion of the previous interview with Dr. Gruber. A good background on what was covered.

Here is the actual video. He starts getting into the heart of the research at about the 7 to 8 minute mark.

I will start with some of the mechanics of the research, if everything proceeded according to protocol. Were there any unexpected troubles in using DNP or managing the worms.

Then I will move onto the results and what they mean. Was there lifespan extension? Reduction? Any unusual side effects?

Lastly, what lies in the future? Pursuit of more uncoupling research? Is it a dead end?

Jan has informed me that this Saturday will not be the most opportune time for the podcast. The podcast will not be recorded until early next week. Sorry for the delay. I will post information as soon as it is recorded. Post any questions (for Jan) you might have here in the forum.

The follow-up interview finally occurred this week. Yay! It is a very interesting podcast and worth a listen in order to learn about how reality shakes up our assumptions. Dr. Gruber also goes into detail about how interesting it was to work under a grassroots grant. He thinks it is a good mode for the future, but that it might take a while for mainstream researchers to accept it.

Caliban will be posting the MP3 in the forum soon, but if you wanted to download it from sendspace, here is the link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/52fl0s

suggestion: This project should be highlighted at the frontpage and in the main pages, with a 3 line description (a little like whay was done for the laser project)
