Before dying? that's easy.
Make sure you never die so you can do infinite things and never die. never have to die, never want to die, never die.

Things to do after/while that..

So many!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want to do anything 'before I die'. I just don't want to die. As for what I want to do during my lifetime:

1. Learn to be happy
2. Get married
3. Play lots of video games
4. Understand the nature of consciousness
5. Become a perfect, super intelligent, immortal cyborg

It's interesting how the girls break the "rules" of this thread or at least mention they go against it more than the guys here. I think we broke at least 1000 psychology theories right in this thread ;)

+ Things I want to do in my life are very similar to Cyborgdreamer's ;)
Being immortal (I refuse to die), I'd love to also:
1. Be Happy
2. Get Married with someone I TRULY LOVE.
3. Play tons of Video games and not just video games, card games, board games have fun :)
4. Create! A lot. My own programs, later my own machines maybe....
5. Be.

And this list probably stretches to infinity.

  • Help to increase world understanding of fallacy through grade school programs to teach it.
  • Help develop a system of food with out meat in it that is good, satiating and has as much flavor, texture, weight and variety as meat food currently does.
  • Help change sex perceptions and let it be seen as normal rather than taboo. In other words help undo the thousands of years of misconception and bad tradition that religion has given to it.
  • Help all towns install interesting things to do: Amtrack, malls with maze courtyards, serious themes in malls, more paintball, cheaper boating, more events, clever innovative ideas, etc…
  • Help to push for extreme space travel. (part of the ultimate destiny of humanity, part of the pinnacle of what it means to exist)
  • Ride a mechanical sea turtle across lava in a galaxy as of yet unfathomable.

-Study mutations of species and contemplate how they effect themselves, the areas they are in as a whole, and what it means for the future.

Here is another grands worth: http://www.thousandthingstodo.net/

I found that while googling for this topic to post to somebody who questions what there will be to do for the first million years of life. These lists of 1,000 come in handy for encounters like this and are just drops in the bucket.

In no certain order.

1. Finish my project ( still possible )
2. Prove in measurable form that my injury / disease does exist ( wishful thinking )
3. Cure it ( even more wishful thinking )
4. Play tennis one last time ( Unless I lose my memory this one WILL happen )
5. I would love to have at least one lucid dream in the sense I was not only fully aware while in it , but able to determine / control the type of dream I was in.

If your talking outright fantasy or fortean at best , I would probably replace 5 with going on expedition and seeing some mythological beast like a dragon , yeti or honest politician ( haha )

Ive often wondered about time travel ( probably like most here ) but Im not so sure it would be good idea unless I basically didnt interact or alter anything - which when you think about it - would be a little hard

so there you sorta have it...

I suppose :)

1. Cure my aging and upgrade my body exactly how I want it.
2. Create a perfect virtual world for myself or live long enough to have one created.
3. Learn to echolocate (seriously there is a blog on a hearing guy who is learning himself. It is also fun even if you're crap like me).
4. Meet an intelligent alien life form if there are any out there.

Live with an indigenous tribe

That would fascinate me so much if I had a long enough life! :)

I'm with you 100% on that. :)

I love your idea for a scam! If I had a longer lifespan I too would consider living abroad. Currently I feel my life is too short.

List a max of 5 things at a time that a person could want to do before they die.

1. Travel and see major historical points that were important to our modern standing, such as ancient monuments, old industrial revolution sites
2. begin my own business
3. help educate upcoming generations and expanding awareness
4. find deep spiritual meaning
5. understand how to connect to others more emotionally

1. Swim every day - I already do it in a swimming pool, while salty air in the ocean feels better

2. Always have a great book to read before sleep

3. Create a human being - both body and mind

4. Saving lives as a doctor - maybe in the future most patients will care about their lives being saved...I love my profession nevertheless.

5. Write...and write some more :)

6. Make reanimation possible so that the wonderful people I met and then died could experience life one more time.

1. Have more near death experiences.

2. Save more peoples lives.

3. Actually cure my ADHD.

4. Drive faster faster than 125 mph on four wheels and ride faster than 102 mph on two wheels.

5 .Learn everything I want to learn.

6. Be my own god.

7. Become wealthy enough to just live of the intrest rate and hence being able to donate lots of money also.

8.Travel more.

9.See the perspectives of all kinds of people more clearly than I can simulate the circumstances of which they are affected.

10.Learn more languages.

These are not numbered for my priority of these things more like just to list it.
