I just attempted to use the coupon and received this message:

  • Coupon code " LONGECITY" is not valid.

It is only valid on the .com site - did you use that site?

Thanks

Greg

Hi Mike,

We initially made the code available for just the .com site but have now made it live across all sites ... all going well it will be working for you now.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Does MitoQ (supplement or cosmetic) have any effect on actinic keratosis (including subclinical)? The only study reported on appears to have been done in vitro.

(Dermatology Times: "When we irradiated fibroblasts that had been pretreated with MitoQ, the IR-A response was significantly reduced (p<0.05)," Dr. Krutmann says. Specifically, irradiating these fibroblasts resulted in an approximately one-and-a-half-fold upregulation of MMP-1, versus more than twice that amount for fibroblasts treated with an equal concentration of idebenone, and for untreated controls (Schroeder P, et al. ibid). "So in principle," Dr. Krutmann says, "this approach works.")

Pharmaceutical treatments like 5-fluorouracil, Imiquimod or Diclofenac gels all have side effects in my case.

Thanks,

A. Ott

It wouldn't surprise me if MitoQ helped keratoses.  I have one on the back of my hand that regressed a lot when I started using c60oo.  There are some parallels between c60oo and MitoQ.  Greg, any experience with MitoQ and keratoses?  From the UV facial images someone posted from a topical MitoQ study, I'd guess that this sort of skin damage would be helped.

Hi,

Yes, from anecdotal experience MitoQ applied topically appears to improve the appearance of actinic keratosis.

Thanks

Greg,

How relevant is the MitoTEMPO study to MitoQ?

Do these two substances work in a similar fashion?

Hi, A good question.

MitoQ and MitoTEMPO have a similar effect and can be interchanged.

This interesting research came out over the weekend. http://www.cell.com/...(14)00527-0.pdf

Would you mind sharing the results of the LONGECITY discount coupon?

Sure; - 20 people used the coupon.  Mostly the Supplement was purchased.

Many thanks to you all for supporting the coupon offer.

Hopefully a few of you completed our recent survey and will have received a voucher for that as well.

Greg,

This study says MitoQ suppresses osteoclastogenesis (so does NAC and Vitamin C). Is there any other evidence that MitoQ might help osteoporosis?

Greg,

I filled in the survey, but doubt I'll get to use the coupon. But anyhow...

Have you considered a shampoo product for grey hair, or preventing grey hair?

Hi Ta5,

Sorry, we don't have any direct evidence that MitoQ will help with osteoporosis.

Razor,

Thanks for filling in the survey - much appreciated.

We do have feedback that MitoQ can assist with grey hair but I don't think we can consistently deliver enough of a response to deliver a product on that feature. It is more a nice side benefit that some people experience but not all.

Thanks

Well I tried 3 of the 5mg MitoQ yesterday. I was tired after walking 4 miles and riding my bike 5 miles. I ate them around 7 pm and drank a small beer. About two hours later it was time to ride my bike back home again. And it felt great, I pushed myself really hard and lifted weigths for another 40 mins once home. There was a different subtle energy somewhere.
It might just have been a fluke but I will try again.

Hi Greg,

Are you able to tell us how much of a discount physicians who are registered with you can get? Does this apply just to the supplement or also the serum?

Furthermore, does your company have plans to give out another Longecity discount code? In case you can't tell, money is something of a concern for me.

Finally, is there a minimum age recommended for someone to take MitoQ? I recall seeing the age of 30 mentioned somewhere.

And what sort of effect would this have on someone already taking C60 (believed to also be a mitochondria-targetted antioxidant)?

Thanks!

Is there any reason you took three when the recommended dose is two?

I do not take it on a daily basis (I gave the bottle to a relative who is old and a bit frail to see if he notices improvements) and Greg mentioned taking 20mg/day.

Hi, thanks for the questions - answers embedded below.

Greg

Hi Greg,

Are you able to tell us how much of a discount physicians who are registered with you can get? Does this apply just to the supplement or also the serum?

Wholesale pricing is circa $35USD for the Capsules and $70USD for the Serum.

Furthermore, does your company have plans to give out another Longecity discount code? In case you can't tell, money is something of a concern for me.

Not at the moment sorry.

Finally, is there a minimum age recommended for someone to take MitoQ? I recall seeing the age of 30 mentioned somewhere.

We are actually finding that younger people are seeing benefit as well. However the reason we suggest 30 is because this is the point where we start to see lower CoQ10 in the mitochondria.

And what sort of effect would this have on someone already taking C60 (believed to also be a mitochondria-targetted antioxidant)?

I don't know the answer to that I am sorry.  Is anyone here taking both able to comment?

Thanks!

2 capsules is recommended but some people with health conditions associated with mitochondrial dysfunction take 4 and see additional benefit.

Thanks

Thank you Greg for the response. May I enquire as to what's required for a physician to register? Is there a fee attached? Here in Australia MitoQ is literally unheard of so I know my doctor is not registered, and I doubt he would do so just for me if he had to pay a large amount of money.

If you aren't able to answer this for professional reasons I understand.

Apologies for the slow response - I missed this email.

A Physician just needs to register here ... http://www.mitoq.com...h-professionals

There is no cost involved.

Have a chat with your doctor - they may be amenable to working with you and passing MitoQ on at wholesale - you never know.

Thanks and all the best.

Greg

Hi, I ordered MitoQ on the 14th August and still haven't received it. Aren't they supposed to be shipped from New Zealand? So given I live in Australia at the moment I would've thought they'd arrive relatively quick. I believe your website states within 14 days.

I actually ordered vitamins from CANADA at the start of September and just received them then.

Any idea what's going on?

Hi Ripper,

You should have received your MitoQ by now - normal transit time to Australia is less than a week.

Can you email customerservice@mitoq.com with your order number and we will get this sorted for you asap.

Thanks and apologies for the delay.

Thank you for providing me with that info. I've sent an e-mail to them now. Hopefully they can work out what's going on.

A bit disappointing and frustrating, but I suppose MitoQ have no control over shipping.

Greg,

Is there any potential for either negative interactions or synergy between MitoQ and Nicotinamide Riboside (Niagen) or Pyrroloquinoline Quinone (PQQ)?

Hi Daniel,

I have taken PQQ with MitoQ and not noticed any additional benefits.  PQQ is meant to increase mitochondrial numbers from what I understand but if you are getting more from function from your existing mitochondria via MitoQ then I think it is unnecessary to add PQQ into the mix.

Niagen on the other hand appears that it could be quite synergistic with MitoQ. I don't have any personal experience with it but it makes sense that if we have our mitochondria working optimally and you add in optimised substrate/fuel then there could be worthwhile benefits.

If you decide to combine these please let me know how you get on.

Thanks.
