Reading about Emoxypine, it appears to offer numerous general health benefits but has also been claimed to have Nootropic benefits as well. Does anyone out there have much experience with these substances?

I would not expect much from this one seeing as how the other pro-B vitamins (sulbutiamine, picamilon, and pyritinol) all produced mediocre effects at best whenever I tried them.

This is actually encouraging to me, as I have found sulbutiamine and picamilon to be very worthwhile substances, and the research on emoxypine (suspect as it is, being that it is largely Russian) sounds far too promising in actual benefits to health, vs. the subjective positive feelings that so many people seem to seek from supplements.

I'll report back to this thread once I've had a chance to try this for a few weeks.

I've gone through several grams of this interesting chemical and just re-ordered more. I'm a big fan. Interestingly, I found it to have specific effects that I hadn't even been aware were claimed for it, so I'm inclined not to think it's merely placebo. Specifically, it seems to act as a kind of anti-intoxicant. It combines brilliantly with low-dose stimulants as well as with alcohol. I think this could be a very useful substance for treating substance abuse, but of course this is unlikely to ever be tested clinically so we'll never know.

On two consecutive days I was feeling abnormally well, with very good, positive energy and a clear mind, and I was puzzled by why I felt so good without feeling like I'm on any sort of drug. And both times I remembered, "Oh yeah, I took emoxypine." HOWEVER, this could obviously be placebo and it's definitely just a report of my subjective experience. But I'm convinced enough of the effectiveness of this that I'm going to commit to using it on a thrice-daily schedule to see how it plays out over a few months of use.

Final emoxypine experience report:

I've found that it causes me to be too sedated to take it during the day, and I cut back to only taking it in the evening as an addition to wine, because they're very relaxing together and yet there's still plenty of mental clarity. If it weren't so expensive I'd continue using it, but once I've used up my current stock I probably won't purchase it again, unless I become convinced by new research findings that it's worth taking for imperceptible health benefits.

So, all in all, thumbs up to the product, thumbs down to the price. It's nice, but not nice enough to make it into my supplement budget.

How is this not talked about more. Powerful antioxidant with amazing neuroprotection that doesn’t mind to gaba yet increases it’s sensitivity. This seems like the perfect nootropic to take during a benzo withdrawl or if you want a benzo like effect without the withdrawl side effects of actual benzodiazepines and/or Phenibut.

I get really mixed results with Emoxy. First day feels great but quickly descends into a bad mood with depression and anger. I've tried it several times and each experiment ends pretty much the same way.

I have been taking 125 Mg of Emoxypine along with 700 Mg Ashwagandha KSM-66 extract twice a day for about 4 weeks to reduce stress.  Subjectively, it seems to be helping, but I can't say if it is the Ashwagandha or the Emoxypine.  I have found that taking more than 125 Mg Emoxypine in the morning makes me quite drowsy.   I can't comment on the effects with Alcohol.

Wow. I been trying to figure out where my recent anger and aggression has been coming from. I took Mexidol late last night and this morning I am feeling so aggressive. It can't be just a coincidence. I feel more combative and it's not wholesome.

For the past few weeks I was trying to figure out why I been getting so aggressive. Is it the ginseng? The jioagulan? This or that etc etc.  Nope, I think it's just the mexidol since I didn't have these types of reactions when I took a 3 day break from mexidol and continued taking the others.

I think I need to avoid this.

Isn’t it supposed to be able relaxing agent? I wonder what caused this effect for you.

That's the thing. It seems neutral or slightly relaxing during the first hours. There are even some potential cognitive benefits which I was quite fond of during the first three days. I felt more able to communicate and process information.  But I started to become increasingly more and more aggressive and this would lead to disputes on social media that normally would not be occurring. I would become less friendly and more short fused.

That’s odd. It almost seems as if it is boosting specific neurotransmitters which caused the calming mood and perhaps it rapidly depletes those Neurotransmitters causing the opposite later on.

This is exactly what I'm looking for! It was time for a big order, so I just picked up a tub of Emoxypine and have high hopes but am not overly optimistic. Did you find it to be an effective addition to any other Noots/stacks? I am planning on combining it with Phenylpiracetam, which I find to be robotic feeling at times; I'm hoping the Emoxypine will add some positive affect to the mix, as I love the productivity and energy I have on Phenylpiracetam.

Interesting! What dose were you taking?

This sounds promising, what other subjective effects do you experience with this combination? Do you feel less stress and a better mood, or less stress and therefore more likely to experience a better mood?

I love emoxypine. Makes benzo withdrawals bearable (along with black seed oil, agmatine, magnesium l-threonate and BPC-157). I wonder how afobazole and cerebrolysin would compare.

That’s awesome! I don’t use Benzos, but do want something that makes anxiety (either life-related or Nootropic-related) more bearable, so these positive accounts are really reassuring/exciting. What dose do you take? Also, people say Emoxypine is pretty subtle, working in the background, but if it’s having such a positive effect for you along with BSO etc, I wonder whether it’s so subtle after all.

How would you describe the effects? Are they anxiety-related, mood-related (aka just feeling good), dopaminergic/euphoric, serotonergic/feel-good, or GABAergic/relaxed?

I just take a 125mg cap from ND. I just feel nice and relaxed and it abates benzo withdrawal symptoms (excess tension and anxiety from glutamate and lack of GABA). It smooths everything out and there's maybe only a touch of drowsiness, but it's mostly stimulating. It does increase dopamine IIRC.

Sounds like exactly what I'm looking for :)

Sometimes I find that one of my stacks (Phenylpiracetam-based) is too stimulating, and given the property you and others have described of "smoothening everything out," it sounds like it would be perfect for this. Thanks again for your replies, if you've ever stacked it with anything (especially but not limited to Racetams), I'd love to hear about your experience.

Nootropics Depot has it, and you can also find it on Russian pharmacies online under Mexidol

Seems to make me calm and focused for the first half of the day, but that deteriorates into a straight up foul mood later on.

I was worried about that when you first posted that but luckily I did not notice anything like that.

Most people seem to like and do well with it, but apparently it does not play well with my neurotransmitter balance.
