i'm researching for migraines because my wife has a weird reaction to bright computer/phone screens giving her nausea and vomiting. it got much worse lately and I'm considering that she has one of those silent migraines triggered by light.

why reading about it, it looks like some patients have an overlap between migraines and epilepsy: https://www.epilepsy...es-act-seizures

sure enough, some brain models show similar mechanisms for both: http://news.psu.edu/...migraines-brain

some people talk about "migralepsy" and related overlaps: https://www.mdedge.c...mmon-underlying

it's also a common knowledge that some anti-seizure meds prevent migraine.

fascinating! BTW, she had one episode of epilepsy a couple of decades ago. will try migraine prophylaxis and see what happens.
