Here, I barely ever drink caffeine because of a few things.  First, my tolerance develops quickly, and then I require it every morning.  The other reason is because this way, when I do need caffeine, just a small amount and I am READY.

But the thing I don't like about coffee is that I feel it, and then after like 60 minutes it's gone.  That's stupid.

Ok, the other day I tried this wafer thing that had 18mg of caffeine.  It was by a company that is no longer in business called Il Morso.  However, I had slightly bigger than half of it, so maybe like 11mg of caffeine.  I understand this is barely enough to do anything.  But I felt awesome all day.  I looked at the ingredients and they were coffee grounds, cocoa butter, and sugar.  Is there some proportion of caffeine and fat that makes it last longer?  I had it first thing in the morning.  Might I just buy some caffeine powder and butter and make my own?  The feeling was subtle and wonderful and calm and felt nothing at all like coffee.  Energy, creativity, focus. This brings me to my next question.  Is there a difference in delivery of caffeine?  Like... I know it's all the precise supplement, but if you get it from different sources does that change the effect?  Does the other ingredients make a difference?  I cannot figure out why I enjoyed this but don't like the feeling of coffee. Opinions?

I’ve tried every type and noticed no difference between them.

yeah I have a love/hate relationship with coffee which I am in fact writing about,   curiously enough,   for an article.   But anyway.   I know a lot of people combine it with theanine (something I keep meaning to do)   or other relaxation substances that don't make one TIRED,   just calm.    What you described with the wafer is ideally what we all would want (I think?)   but have you tried it more than once (if you can find more wafers)   to see if it really was the wafer,  not random luck?   Or maybe someone roofied you haha

Unfortunately I think caffeine is caffeine.    Matter of chance to get too little or too much or perfect amount for energy.    It's practically my water at this point....time to taper back.

You might want to look into theobromine...

https://en.wikipedia...iki/Theobromine

It has a long half life (6–10 hours), and looks like it might competitivly inhibit metabolism of caffeine, perhaps extending the effect of lower doses of caffeine?

There are cocoa / cacao supplements that might have substantial amounts of theo and are dirt cheap.

From the wiki page:

Mean theobromine content ratio (103

Cocoa 20.3
