Does k2 increase your need for calcium?

No. Stay away from calcium supplements. You get enough from diet unless you're doing something weird. Trust me, you see my posts around here- hypercalcemia sucks. Try supplementing vitamin D and that should sort you out completely on the calcium front.

All the more reason NOT to supplement calcium. Try magnesium?

Gotcha. I’ll keep eating raw cheese but otherwise lay low. Thanks for your advice. I was just wondering if the k2 needs more calcium to do it’s thing. It’s craxy how high the RDA is. I take magnesium glycinate.

Absolutely no, lowering blood calcium should always be the goal.

Magnesium glycinate is good. I take malate myself as I don't love the NMDA modulating aspects of glycine but it's NBD either way.
