So I'd like to get my BAT (Brown Adipose Tissue) measured. If you're not aware, it's the thermogenic type of fat that burns calories. We have high levels when we're born, perhaps close to 100%, and we lose significant amounts as we age, become overweight, and/or go through weight loss/gain cycles. BAT also helps you maintain weight loss and loss of it is a serious reason for weight regain or difficulty in ideal weight maintenance.

There are some ways which might be able to regenerate BAT and I'm planning to get to an ideal weight and maintain it, after which, I'd like to try some of the BAT regeneration supps/meds to see if any of it works, how fast it works, how close it can get me to a young level of BAT and if the results are semi-permanent (subject only to expected losses from continued aging).

What test am I looking for? How much is it going to cost me?
