I came across this old thread from 2003 https://www.physicsf...-your-iq.11132/

he mentions 3 things that increase IQ and one of them being estrogen but the link was dead. So I googled and found this article: https://www.livescie...cells-chat.html

In the new study, researchers at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine treated rat brain cells grown in a dish with a compound similar to estrogen. The compound activated the cells' estrogen receptors, setting off a chain of chemical reactions inside the cells. This in turn caused an increase in the cell's number of dendritic spines — hair-like protrusions on the surface of cells that allow them to talk to each other.

"What this told us is that if you specifically activated the [estrogen receptor] you can potentially increase the amount of information that could go from one cell to another," study researcher Deepak Srivastava said.

Are there any drugs that could increase estrogen specifically in the brain? I was thinking of something along the lines of progesterone intranasal spray which could act as a precursor to estrogen but perhaps that is also limited. Are there any drugs or supplements that have been shown to mimic estrogen or activate its receptors in the brain? Oh and progesterone has been shown to also promote myelin repair https://www.ncbi.nlm...les/PMC4237628/

It's the opposite. Estrogen is known to enhance cognition at levels seen in healthy men, but at levels higher than that, as seen in healthy women, it actually has cognitive inhibiting effects.

It is well known by male to female transsexuals that estrogen makes them "dumber".

found one ''Etifoxine stimulates the biosynthesis of endogenous neurosteroids, for example: allopregnanolone (3-alpha,5-alpha THP), a nanomolar potentiator of GABA activity.[14]''

https://en.wikipedia...#Classification Certain other endogenous steroids, such as pregnenolone,[21] progesterone,[22][23] estradiol,[5] and corticosterone are also neurosteroids. However, unlike those listed above, these neurosteroids do not modulate the GABAA

If you want to increase estrogen, inject yourself with high doses of testosterone and DON'T take an estrogen blocker. Be prepared for gynocomastia to kick in as your estrogen levels soar.

I have have injected over 3 grams of testosterone (extremely high dosage) enanthate weekly with no estrogenic issues except for acne and mild water retention. No sensitive nipples or breast tissue growth or the likes.

I experienced no cognitive boost for those wondering. Just quicker recovery in the gym, more confidence and energy.
