To those who want to fight aging and age-related diseases
To those who want to communicate a mainstream website
To those who want to increase the power of the cause
To those who want to reach mainstream people
Or to those who simply want to know what's going on in not one but various longevity communities

Go to longecity : http://www.longecity.com

Longecity is not one community. It is a mainstream and perfectly updated window on various longevity communities, a little like google but restricted to longevity and more structured. Example of feature: activetopics: in a single web page you see the latest posts from *various* communities; nice, isn't it? Now select interesting topics there and add them to the longecity selected threads, that already contain selected threads from various communities

Remarks to improve it are welcome, help and advertizing is welcome.

By the way, I want to say 3 things:
- thank you all who supported this work so far. If I remember correctly, the development of longecity has started more than a year ago.
- I did not do much myself. epicureanideal, jdkasinksi, brokenportal and others have done a lot more
- now we start to have something that can be used and presented. A lot is still to be done. e.g. include CAA to activetopics.

You know, you could capitalize it LongeCity, if you want to draw attention to the 'C'.

Im testing this response here via the Longecity site. I like this, I think it can work. I think time will tell though if the parts of it are intuitive enough. We can all continue to give suggestions on tweaking it, and adjust it.

After letting it absorb and thinking about it for a long time, Ive come to think that Longecity is perfect. Arent you guys hearing this too?

Think about scenerios like these.

public: "What is it you work with?"
us: "Longecity"
public: "Whats Longecity?"
us: "Its a Longevity Communities Network" or, "Its for the restoration and maintenance of function." or, "Its a cause working for indefinite life extension." or, "Its to end aging." or, "Its to help work to end the blight of involuntary death." or, "It works with Advocacy & Research for Unlimited Lifespans."

And so on, and because it supports all of those kinds of definitions, it seems to me that slowly over time the word Longecity will absorb their meanings and become a word that means those things. What other single descriptive words do you think the people and the media might use? They dont really have anything to describe this except via those phrases. I could definitely see the media with like, "Next up, what is all this stir about 'Longecity'" or, "Coming up, find out why Longecity may be in the cards for you."

LongeCity it is the city of people acting towards longeVity: a common place where everyone has a role, leading to skyscraper-like life-extensions. Grouping the various life-extending tribes (like imminst), unifying forces towards longer lives, in perhaps a more industrialized manner. City is a symbol for crowd, activity, technology and progress.

But yes, there are certainly other great names at well.

I like my previous answer :-D . I see no reaction concerning the content of the website. Don't hesistate to go to http://longecity.com and react.

All I can say is wow! that looks really nice! The graphics are laid out really well, and I like the streaming video's and the forum look...very nice job from everyone.

There are some discussions in the members forum to make Longecity more specifically linked to imminst - we will let you know when reaching some final decision
