A short love story:

Aniracetam, especially in high doses, produces the strongest effects I've experienced from nootropics as of yet. A single two-four gram dose (common for me) of aniracetam starts to affect my mind in about 45-60min after oral ingestion. It then peaks after about 90min, and goes down some 2-4hours after ingestion. My mind gradually seems to accept all my stressful and anxious thoughts of the day, and I feel truly at peace with my environment, internal and external. Often this involves me sitting down, barely moving because of my extreme satisfaction, and watching my mind and body heal.

The strength of these blissful, soothing feelings (very) often seems proportional to how much my body and mind are wore out. In fact, if I really need to calm down, I get extremely calm. If I just want to relax and socialise with my girlfriend, I get talkative, relaxed and comfortable. Notice that this is the same dosage. I've had about 5-10 experiences with aniracetam, so I refer to these statistics with great care. Placebo-enhancing is of course an alternative to a true change in strength of effect.
Even though that is uncertain (the perceived effect-need-correlation), I am not doubting at all the effects of aniracetam, they are at times so strong I've invented the term anectasy. Another thing worth mentioning is that I sometimes use the drug methylphenidate (18-36mg) for it enhances my cognition and ability to concentrate on studies. It's never used recreational, and after a days (6-8hours) worth of reading and problemsolving I can feel quite exhausted. It's after the effects of the drug has disappeared that I dose myself with aniracetam. One and a half hour later, my state of mind has turned around completely. This is when I experience the strongest effects of this wonderful nootropic, true bliss. It's not that I love myself and the world, it also feels like the world is loving itself and me. Piracetam and oxiracetam do not do this.

Other effects of aniracetam: Increased alertness, concentration and acceptance of cognitive tasks. Very fluid speech and writing, presque vu-phenomenon: non existing. Average retrieve time of memories, noticeable increased. Strong increase in confidence, self-control and energy.

So, I am wondering, is anyone else experiencing anything like this? I'm am very impressed of my effects, but am I only with the strength? I am aware people have quite different effects of racetams, and that cognitive enhancing effects have yet to be proven, but I can't deny my own response to the drug. It's too damn good, it's hard to believe. Why is it only aniracetam, can anyone propose a pathway of effects? What makes it different?

Finally, I didn't notice any effects like these when I didn't eat fat before ingestion of aniracetam. Any ideas of a good and reliable way to dissolve it for improved formulation? Is a (non-intoxicating) small volume of 40% alcohol safe?

Yes, actually. It's one of the things I like about aniracetam. I definitely feel less stress. However, I find that piracetam is better for abstract reasoning and creating.

Yep, loved the anxiolytic effects as well. Unfortunately for me the anxiolytic effects were accompanied by severe brain fog. Its like all the positive effects of this drug were tarnished by the brain fog - I felt moments of great creativity and speed of thought - unfortunately when this is accompanied by difficulty thinking through the 'fog' its no good. Wish there were something else 'as' good without the side effects.

Reading accounts like these makes me hope I never come to depend on a drug to have those feelings, particularly when the drug is as expensive as aniracetam is (i.e. middle-of-the-road for nootropics, but not at that dosage!).

It's not completely unreasonable. Still, I don't think the OP is dependent on aniracetam for those feelings.

a one-off won't be expensive, and i've not tried dosing ani at that much before, so time to try it.

No anxiolytic effect for me, extreme or otherwise. I've had social confidence in the past off of 500mg and 1000mg doses, but haven't reproduced them recently, at those doses or this latest one.

Extreme anxiolytic here too. But to the point where it actually suppressed any emotions. It made me kind of dull.

This thread is a little old but I'm going to bump this because I like ani.

For me it's been just 2 days taking aniracetam (Smartpowders), 1g a day divided in two, but I really like it! It has a noticeable anxiolytic effect, and as a result of that I can think more clearly and focus on tasks better. For comparison the past week I had been taking piracetam without any noticeable effects.

Something that might be notable is I'm zero carb -- my macronutrient profile is about 3000 calories, 70% fat, 30% protein. Piracetam is water soluble and aniracetam is fat soluble, so it could be why aniracetam works better for me. I know I read someone else had a relatively low carb diet and didn't get good results from pira, but then increased their starch intake and they reported it worked better.

I've purchased 60 750mg capsules of Aniracetam, as well as 50g of Pramiracetam, off SP. These collaborative accounts of the anxiolytic properties of Aniracetam sound highly promising. Having never taken anything for my anxiety, or indeed cognition (except fish oil tablets and multivitamin), I am eager for my stack to arrive!

Also, sorry to stray off topic: ayu, what are you eating on a 3000 caloric diet with 70% of it being fats? I'm currently on about 1,800 with 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fats.

Gave a lecture after taking at least 2000 mgs of Ani. I felt I was very focused. A friend said I was very boring!!! I recorded the lecture and listened to it later. I wouldn't say I was boring, but it was extremely without emotion (normally I am rather animated when public speaking). As a nootropic I never noticed much at classic (800 mg) or higher doses, but maybe noticed a slight difference with micro-dosing (50-100 mg). Piracetam has milder [than ani] anxiolytic effects on me, but I may become animated at the same time (cuts the stress but not sedating).

I was wondering if the OP and the people in this thread have ever taken things like Tianeptine, Kratom, Harmala, Tramadol, Phenibut, Baclofen, or

Im not understand the way people describe "1" things on an effecacy scale of 0 to 7. This has always had me curious & dumbfounded, as if their are type A and type B people in the world. Type A will, in so many words, say that weak or inactive things are instead strongly active. Type B tells the truth and will say that inactive things are inactive, weak things are weak, medium things are medium and strongly effective things are strongly effective. I mean, not in those words, but alluding in descriptions of experience report.

Furthermore, Type A will claim "Everyone is different and individual responses vary" if they are ever exposed to this Type A / Type B thing. But the individual varying responses to stuff is extremely small compared to the difference between effective and non-effective stuff, so this response doesn't make any sense at all.

In starting to wonder of Philosphical Zombies / Organic Portals exist. I cant find any other explaination for this. Ive been looking for an explaination for this Type A / type B dumbfounding phenomena for years.

I dont feel like starting a new thread nor looking around so i picked this thread to elucidate this bizarre twilight-zone like phenomena. Has anyone else ever directly pointed this out?

Im not sure if people or moderators are going to take offense to this post, and I dont know what to do about that because the post is just a true-fact. We really do live in a strange world.
