Despite of the ever increasingly dangerous experimentation with the LHC, CERN has managed to issue version 1.1 http://www.ohwr.org/...ts/cernohl/wiki of the Open Hardware Licence (OHL) that was written for CERN designs hosted in the Open Hardware Repository (OHR). It can also be used by any designer wishing to share design information using a licence compliant with the Open Source Hardware http://freedomdefined.org/OSHW definition criteria.
