Max, some guy in the forum said resveratrol is like quinolones. which has major warning from FDA for causing serious tendon damage. so this means resveratrol/emodin can cause serious tendon damage and forever cripple you. this is really scary, indeed.

Chemically, resveratrol is nothing like a quinolone. Emodin is also substantially different from a quinolone. Tendon damage is a rare side effect of quinolone antibiotics, but because they are so widely used, there have been a lot of cases of this and other extremely bad side effects from quinolones. Resveratrol, possibly due to aromatase inhibition, has resulted in what sounds like tendon pain for some people. I've never heard of it getting as bad as the tendon ruptures that are reported with quinolones. The problems with resveratrol have almost always resolved after stopping the drug, though I've heard anecdotal reports of continuing problems in a couple cases.

Never noticed any effect that powerful from Resveratrol really. Maybe an increase in libido but nothing overly significant. Are you sure your sleeping issues aren't due to anythng else? I could understand if your rebound issues were due to something like Curcumin as that has quite a powerful effect but Resveratrol always seems pretty benign to me.

emodin also perforates ones intestines, if used chronically as in certain laxatives. But quality 98 to 99% resveratrol should have negligible to undetectable amounts of emodin. I've run tests where the level is below the limit of the HPLC analysis to detect. Everything for the last two years has been this good, or maybe a few parts per million at most. Not like four years ago, when some batches had appreciable amounts. Resveratrol and emodin are two very separate substances, you seem to be implying they are one and the same. They are not.

Multiple people have been telling you, over a number of days, in multiple threads, that if you want to use resveratrol, you should use a higher purity resveratrol that the 50% GNC stuff you've been using. No one is guaranteeing the safety of 99% resveratrol, we're just saying that you will avoid the vast majority of the junk that keeps you awake or otherwise messes with your CNS, affects your digestion, and god knows what else.

If you are in a hurry and operators are busy (which puts you in a queue), maybe you can order it on the website.

Cheers
