Hi,

I'm not well versed in these things so please excuse me for my possible ignorance.
My question is, does taking l-lysine tablets with dextroamphetamine tablets have any kind of similar effect as taking lisdexamfetamine by itself?
I'm guessing this is overly simplified and does not have any effect?

It would have no effect. The lysine in Vyvanse is chemically attached to the dextroamphetamine molecule, and the whole point of Vyvanse is that it takes your body several hours to detach the lysine before the molecules can reach the brain. That's how the sustained-release mechanism works -- the pill releases all of the Vyvanse at once, but your liver spends the next 5 hours converting the Vyvanse (which does nothing) into Dexedrine (which is a stimulant).
