Thanks Mind for doing the Podcast, and Caliban for the February Newsletter.

Did Caliban say that in March or April, there will be a Leadership discussion, etc? On that topic basically.

I am interested in helping out Longecity and can make a difference, I just want to know transparently about who is in control of the budget and Longecity funds, and about the cashflow in and out.

Thank you all and have a nice weekend!

We set the yearly budget in March. We take all well-thought suggestions for projects or expenditures. Members are ultimately in control of how much money can be spent and where it will go. Members can initiate referendums.

Having said that, in recent years, members have essentially ceded most budget-making to the leadership team. Every year, management solicits suggestions, but there are not many responses. Thus, LongeCity has gone forward with a fairly basic budget of funding research, outreach, site maintenance, etc...

If you have suggestions you can post them in the project ideas forum: http://www.longecity...-project-ideas/

There is a separate members discussion here: http://www.longecity...-to-start-2015/
