I see you have got a signature now

Yes, I did so after Aubrey's suggestion, thinking that those who see my page may be more inclined to eventually support ImmInst.

Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately I've got miluim starting tomorrow, so won't be able to attend the meeting. I'd really like to hear how it went, so any minutes/summary/photos etc. posted here or sent by email would be greatly appreciated!

Hope to see you all next time!
Danny

P.S. welcome Gil - you're definitely not the youngest (Adi has that titile sown up for the moment)...

Hey Gil, don't take my appellation away. I am the youngest one (:
I am yet 14, and I also have got school... I asked for a day off, no biggie.

Anyways welcome!

Do you any MSN messenger or ICQ or Skype? It would be nicer to explain so, so I'll know which answers you seek for and all.

Damn, who is coming?

I know of me, Ilia, Daniel, Lior, Eli... umm we can't have a 5 people conference!

Does anyone know if the rest are going to attend?? I think Oded might be there too... will Alex be there? "boogaboo"? "indigodawnlight"? Noam?
I don't think it will be worth it to have 5 people conference!
Do we know what topics to discuss??

Perhaps for future conferences, it would be helpful to students to schedule a non-school day. I agree with Liorrh. Many times a smaller group will have better conversations.

This is a historic event... best of luck!

I pay more than you think just to get there.
This time I believe I shall be there. There will be no more future conferences that contain 5 people unless you wish to sponsor me, which I do not believe that is the current situation.
I really hope to see more than that. That's totally ridiculous, just being honest.

I am sorry.

"Ridiculous" seems to be a little unexpected choice of words.
I believe the purpose of the present informal gathering is to meet like-minded friends, establish the Israeli Immortalist/Transhumanist cell, and discuss our future plans: be it creating a site, developing the existing ones, or setting up a series of meetings/seminars with presentations by the members or invited lecturers, or any other activity we may come up with in an open discussion. In this sense, the importance of such a "ground-laying" meeting cannot be underestimated, whatever the number of participants. In future "lecture type" events we can fill up the rooms, but this is not the purpose of this first meeting.

I estimate the number of participants to be greater than 5, though one can't know for sure: we might be surprised both ways :)

Hope to see you guys.

Hi, Lior and Daniel.
I e-mailed you my numbers.
The telephone at the Schottenstein Center (where it will take place) is 03-534-46-75 or 03-531-83-49. The building is Called "Teva 214", it is a red 3 storey building. If you enter Bar-Ilan from Kvish Gea Bus Stop (e.g. 164 bus), the building is just 50 meters to the left of the bus stop.

The meeting is scheduled for 10.30, but I will be there from about 9.00 in case anyone needs directions.

But as you know, "BiDiYuK" is the abbreviation for "Bis Die Yidden Willen Kumen" (when the Jews finally decide to arrive) [lol]

Hi guys

the meeting was great.

it was great getting to know each other.
we mostly spoke about practical things - set up goals, means, methods, to do list...
we will be mailing everybody what was decided and the steps we intend to make.

I realy feel this is a historic day and I'm proud we are making things happen

Lior.
