I can’t seem to figure this out. Does a low-dose of Selegiline help restore dopamine and not deplete after you’re finished? Or will it just further inhibit dopamine production possibly leading to DAWS like dopamine antagonists can once you finish it? If my goal is to “recover“ to dopamine is this something I should use a low dose?

Life extension doses are 2.5mg, a few times a week.  It definitely seems like DAWs could be a possibility at higher, daily doses over long periods of time.  I wasn't even aware of that until I was already on it.

Discontinuation after about 6 weeks lead to some strange motor effects.   I kept dropping things and just felt like I was walking around in a foggy state.  Things that normally would have been attended to with some detail, like Thanksgiving dinner and the prep and cleanup/storage afterwards got overlooked.  It took about a week for the symptoms to clear.  I imagine that the discontinuation would have been worse with longer duration of use.  It was a different type of withdrawal than with amps.  I didn't exercise, or even care enough to think about it the entire time.  Both on it and while coming off it.  That motivation and desire is returning after being off for about a week, thankfully.

I've heard it can help resensitive D receptors, and think that it would probably potentiate other things, at 5mg or lower.  But there could be other options that might not be so potentially cardiotoxic, like Uridine, that won't have that physical effect.
