I was looking around at possible supplements to help with (female fertility). Vitamin D deficiency and poor performing mitochondria both appear strongly related to infertility. Anyway, I then wondered whether there might be a causative relationship. There was at least a study (2013) demonstrating a relationship between vitamin D and muscle mitochondrial function:

“This shows for the first time that vitamin D deficiency, when corrected, can lead to an improvement in mitochondrial function,” Sinha said. “There is a link between vitamin D and mitochondria of human muscle.”

I'm not sure I've seen it discussed, it might too be of interest to those on mitochondrial fission/fusion protocols

Old news, ofcourse vitamin d is incredibly important. Whats even more important though is doing bloodtests every now and then to make sure you dont overdo it.
