As most of you know I have been taking NMN on and off for the past 3 years. When I saw K2GO offering 150 mg capsules of NMN at such a great price I bought 2 bottles.  Much to my surprise the NMN did not kick in the way that I was used to.  I sent the last bottle out for testing and just got the results back.  These buggers only put 12 mgs of NMN into each of their supposed 150 mg of NMN capsules. Please see the attached Certificate of Analysis

I believe Anthony Loera of RevGenetics found a similar issue as you did LawrenceW, I don't want to speak for him but hope he reads this and speaks up about what he found which if I recall correctly was similarly mislabeled NMN product on the market. Anthony chime in if you're out there! Very important for us to know which distributors are mislabeling, especially in this nascent period of NAD boosting supplements.

Thanks Lawrence for calling attention to this!

TMNMK.

I nominate you as our LongeCity Ambassador!

"similarly mislabeled NMN product on the market"  is the politest possible way of saying that they are screwing us and anyone that bought their product.

I would accept the nomination were it not for the sordid history that surely would encroach upon the office on even the slightest scrutiny (apropos for the times, I hope, hah!).

Thanks for sharing that Lawrence.

Is interesting that K2go has the worst reviews on Amazon by far, with several people saying it had no effect compared to other brands.

I'm always overly optimistic, but maybe that is indication that NMN actually works and Amazon review system is useful in weeding out the crap like this brand.

Thats one thing we don't have to worry about with NR.

Someone should post the results on Amazon.

I posted on Amazon before I posted here.  My post is "under review".  We'll see how long or if it gets posted.

A bigger concern would be heavy metal and other toxins. Long term consumption of just 1% in the pill may damage your health.

Do you have any evidence that any commercially available NMN supplements are contaminated with heavy metals and other toxins, or are we just spreading fear, uncertainty, and doubt?

One example is Elysium switched supplier and their basis was found to contain heavy metals and toxins.

Elysium isn't using NMN and if I recall those were trace amounts that would potentially show up in any compound run through a similarly sensitive analysis.

You know that those were trace amounts of toluene, well under the FDA allowed minimum.

Chromadex tried to use that bs in their lawsuit with Elysium.

And YOU KNOW that Pterostilbene, mfg by CHROMADEX, was found to contain the exact same toluene.

YOU KNOW this, yet choose to spread your BS.

we would need people that have never used NAD+ boosters to test the NMN. It would require I think a really long washout period to again experience the "new baseline" establishment for those on NR.

How's the Alive By Nature NMN Pure? I know they supply a CofA but has anyone here done their own analysis to confirm?

Or if not that one, any others that are confirmed to have what they say in them?

Not sure why LawrenceW only checked one vendor that turned out to contain only 10% NMN and totally trusted alivebynature.

MikeDC.

Let me clear that up for you.  I had Alivebynature tested and we use them any time that we have an interruption of our supply.  When K2GO came out with a better price, I tested them and discovered the reason for their better price.

I would like to see a dedicated source thread where we discuss specific brands of NR/NMN, best prices, purity levels, sales, where to buy pure powder etc.

just product talk, no science/research/experience at all.

what do you guys think?

I think you (and your 3 agree-ers) should learn to use the search function: we have such a thread already.

Not yet... Last July, Guarente said Elysium was starting six NR trials as well as other trials for a new product. A good guess is NMN, but I wonder if they will add to it as Sinclair seems to be doing.

Finally got K2GO off of Amazon!  Bad news is they are now on EBay.
