EDIT: I mean Quote only. MultiQuote not needed and Report is actually there. I don't know how to edit the title.

The present forum theory is that all replies to the topic if not quoting other posts are responses to original topic. I suppose that means we aren't to complicate the topic with related discussion or ideas if it doesn't connect directly to the topic at hand. Though nothing's perfect, related contributions are often justified and I suppose that affects how we intuitively interpret the need for a first post reply.You can still do it manually and just post a header and perhaps a link denoting the origin of the post above the quote. I suppose it also prevents inflation of the database, as otherwise there would be more redundant information being stored.
