Is procrastination in my genes?

Apparently I have the rs4680(G;G) val/val gene. High COMT which means low dopamine. I have the (related?) rs909525(G;G). But I also have the rs6323(T;T) for reduced MAOA activity. 

 

Is this the reason why I don't notice anything from modafinil? And why I only notice methylphenidate when I dose dangerously high levels?

Any time we genetically engineer a mouse to have low dopamine genes, it's lazy. It refuses to exercise.

Did you check the other genes in your DA pathway? There may be more (DAT, DRD2, MAO-B, MTHFR)

My suggestion is to inhibit MAO-A and COMT. But also look into other genes causing this problem. This company does full genetic testing of the entire dopamine pathway and sends back a full in depth report. https://www.genedsystems.com

Thanks for responding. I got the DRD2 also. I'm indeed going to focus on MAO-A and COMT inhibition. I don't want to be like this.
