CRISPR is supposed to be very precise for gene alteration. I'd like to know if there's an analogous way to alter the length of telomeres to make them uniformly reach some higher length in a targeted way which correlates to their tissue type, etc.

CRISPR is all about recognising a specific sequence of nuceotides and removing them - you could probably use this to target the TTAGGG sequence of telomeres, but I'm not sure why you'd want to.

The closest thing in the pipeline at the moment is using a harmless virus to deliver a telomerase expressing plasmid gene to target cells. Michael Fossel (Telocyte), Bioviva and Libella Gene Therapeutics are all in various stages of applying this as a treatment for Alzheimer's and potentially, aging.
