Can I dissolve pure NMN powder in water and apply it on my skin?

Check this out:

https://www.longecit...rmal-nmn-serum/

I think adding some penetration enhancer like DMSO would be beneficial.

yes absolutely

You can add some to water, then add hyaluronic acid to make a nice creamy serum

perhaps add some Copper Peptide(GHK) like this which helps to stimulate collagen production in the skin

maybe some dmae, and whatever else you like. I don't know if Vit C would react with the NMN or not so you might find out before adding that in there

of course you need to add some type of preservative also

What do you think is the optimal NMN/water ratio?

Thanks

Great question. You could follow the recipe for any DIY Nicotinamide cream out there just sub NMN instead of nicotinamide, that is one way to do it. Although I usually add more NMN than those recipes call for.

Niacinamide can affect the integrity of Vitamin C. So, maybe not such a great idea.

Regarding a previous post:

"perhaps add some Copper Peptide(GHK) like this which helps to stimulate collagen production in the skin ...maybe some dmae, and whatever else you like. I don't know if Vit C would react with the NMN or not so you might find out before adding that in there"

I recently bought a product containing GHK-Cu.  The seller sent instructions with it that say "GHK-Cu can't be layered with an acid product (without a wait period)..." and "you can also use them [Vitamin C+ serum and GHK-Cu Copper Peptide Amino Complex] together, but there needs to be a wait period between applications.  Apply one (either one), then wait at least 15 minutes and apply the other one over it".

The reaction rate is slow if the temperature is under 45 deg. C (see https://kindofstephe...n-c-ascorbic/).It should be good for a few months if you mix it up at home.

4% of niacinamide is enough. Why pricey NMN?

I am allergic to niacinamide, not NMN. Anyway, it is very expensive so I don't use it. Internally only.
