Glycine is one of the amino acids that taken alone, causes an increased release of growth hormone.

Chris Masterjohn recommends collagen/gelatin as sources of glycine.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy:  it turned out the mice were really the rulers of earth, and by serving as lab animals for humans' research, were able to make people believe anything the mice wanted.  Diabolical.

I take 480mg mag glycinate every night before bed, but unsure how much glycine this gives me. I think 2-3g?

That podcast says 10g is what we need conservatively, but is it ok to take all 10g at the same time or does it need to be divided throughout the day? It makes me pretty tired...

I take 5 - 7 grams collagen everyday. Collagen is about 1/3 glycine and the rest is various other amino acids. Doesn't make me tired at all, the opposite in fact. So that is an option.

 My thread on collagen.

Collagen always ended up being so expensive though, unless you have a good cheap source? But straight glycine powder from bulksupplements is super cheap.

I take about 10g glycine + 10g collagen ed, along with about 1-2g taurine and 2g TMG with my afternoon snack (with raw greek yoghourt, chia seeds and dark chocolate chips).

Don't know if I get the GH benefits from glycine, but I don't feel drowsy at all after this meal...

$0.09 per 750 mg is not the cheapest, you can find $0.061/g or maybe even less, I haven't done an extended research

Are you taking the taurine for something specific?

yes I should have mentioned its the cheapest capsules I have found.

You can get the powder for much cheaper but it always seems just a bit on the rancid side to me.

@Phoebus : taurine helps me with cramps and relaxation, as I train also 4-5 x/week with weights + HIIT, and I follow a keto diet
