I can't seem to find a clear answer to this, but maybe I haven't looked hard enough?

There's a lot of discussion about coffee, but I'm only interested in knowing if pure caffein breaks Autophagy or not.

This study says it enhances it, which sounds promising: https://www.ncbi.nlm...les/PMC3039768/

However, since there seems to be a lot of uncertainty about coffee (just doing a simple google search) and not much to find about caffeine (at least what I have found), I was wondering if someone here knows more about it? Perhaps there are other studies than the above that could confirm if it's good or bad?

Don't know if this is in any way helpful: https://www.ncbi.nlm...les/PMC4111762/

Don't have time right now to read it thru, but it compares regular and decaffeinated coffee, which in turn can show how caffeine play it's part.

Yeah, I've seen this one as well. Not good at reading through studies to be honest (time consuming and english isn't my mother tounge), but from what I've understood it shows that coffee induces Autophagy, but does so without caffeine. If this is the case that unfortunately doesn't answer my question much. But I guess it's a good sign if coffee itself isn't breaking autophagy as that actually has some calories in it (I think?).
