"Index is powered by the Elysium chip, developed with the help of a global leader in DNA sequencing and array-based technologies. Our at-home saliva test assesses and analyzes your epigenetics. The test takes minutes and can be dropped in any mailbox for delivery to our lab."

Hmm...second link has already been pulled, wonder why?

Also, at $250 for subscribers and $500 retail it is not exactly inviting.

At this price point, one might as well go with Zymo's myDNAge ($299) which seems more established in comparison.

Also, Dr David Sinclair and Horvath is working on a cheaper methylation test together.

Isn't that for their NR supplement? Unfortunately, there hasn't been a reasonably priced test since Osiris Green. OG's results paralleled the results I got from myDNAge at 25% the cost.

The test is not a measurement of NAD. It´s a saliva test measuring DNA-methylation.

Feature article:

"Elysium’s Index calculates your biological age by looking at DNA methylation (DNAm), which is one of the ways genes are turned on or off. Methylation occurs when methyl groups—clusters of hydrogen atoms surrounding a carbon atom—attach to the DNA and prevent their expression. Some patterns of methylation are inherited and occur naturally with age, but others are triggered by environment and lifestyle factors, like smoking, stress, exercise, and exposure to chemicals. DNAm isn’t the only way genes may be modified, but it is the most common and has become an important player in the broader field of epigenetics, the science of gene expression. Epigenetic researchers have found that DNAm profiles correspond remarkably well with age-related biomarkers. So a researcher looking at a blind DNAm profile sample could conclude that it represents someone who is 50 years old—although the actual subject might be 40 or 60."

I understand that, Linux. I am only questioning the price of $50/month ($270 for 6 months). That appears to be for the NR supplement, not for their methylation test. The price of the test is not listed that I can see, though the site speaks of it as available to subscribers of their NR product. Your link says the Elysium "Index" test is $500. Perhaps it is discounted by half for subscribers of NR, but I don't see that on the Elysium site. If it is discounted, it is still ridiculously expensive if you have to buy what I consider an even more ridiculously expensive nicotinamide source.

No, the Basis subscribers got a "discounted" rate of $250 for the Index test: https://www.longecit...ndpost&p=881292

Thanks! As they seem legit, I ordered a test. I also found the following spreadsheet of aging companies -- https://docs.google....dodw/edit#gid=0
