if you inhale something like nicotine or weed or use injection for drugs you can bypass the need for your body to absorb in the small intestine. What if you have a dysfunctional small intestine. I was thinking of making a list of antibiotics or antivirals (anything that is good for the body I guess that kills bad bacteria viruses or other things which are harmful) or anything that boosts the immune system or body metabolism which have absorption in say the stomach, colon or the big intestine in case you have bad absorption in small intestine.

Like 10% of metformin is absorbed in the stomach. The commonly prescribed diabetes drug metformin has been shown to significantly affect metabolic pathways, according to German scientists. Specifically, metformin was found to modulate the body's nitrogen and urea metabolism following a study of patients with type 2 diabetes.

So if you know of any drugs which when taken orally by swallowing are absorbed in these places or other but the small intestine please link the studies.
Regarding sublingual route it may not work for some because you can have blood vessels problems which hinder it from absorption in the mouth or other problems which cause the enzymes and whatnot to ignore the drug and not pick it up.

can you use niacin as nicotinic acid (flush kind) to open up blood vesseles in the mouth in order to increase absorption as sublingual?
