Just another reason to keep stress levels low!

See press release here:
https://irp.nih.gov/...gn=2020 July 23

Full paper (open access) here:

I wonder if there is any way to reduce this damage...

A quick search doesn't find much for treating microbleeds except keeping blood pressure low with blood pressure medications.

Rutin and or other bioflavonoids work for these kinds of things IME in many cases. Though you may need to water soluble versions for max effect (like Hesperidin Methly Chacone which incidentally shows efficacy against viruses)

Solubility may play major role in the therapeutic efficacy of flavonoids. Low solubility of flavonoid aglycones in water coupled with its short residence time in the intestine as well as its lower absorption does not allow humans to suffer acute toxic effects from the consumption of flavonoids, with the exception of a rare occurrence of allergy. The low solubility of the flavonoids in water often presents a problem for its medicinal applications. Hence, the development of semisynthetic, water-soluble flavonoids, for example, hydroxyethylrutosides and inositol-2-phosphatequercetin, has been implicated for the treatment of hypertension and microbleeding [57]. very interesting, thank you!

From the 2nd paper you link to : "semisynthetic flavonoids are used widely in cases of hypertension, water disequilibrium and microbleedings (Radouco-Thomas et al., 1964; Ten Cate et al., 1973; Sempinska et al., 1977). These substances are hydroxyethyl rutosides (Fig. 58). They are given intravenously"

And women suffer harder when they develop mental illness because they are smarter. So its weird to me that they are more likely to have it than men. Maybe men have it more but its so widespread it seems normal? so they have more or less brain damage from it? evened out?
