The Cryonics Institute’s Check-In app is a simple alarm and alert system that lets your phone send a message for help when you're not able to. The app uses a simple alarm system that checks-in on you or a loved one at selected times during the day. If the user fails to respond to one of the scheduled alarms, after 10 minutes the app will automatically send a text message for help with GPS location to up to five contacts.

The app is ideal for persons who live alone or for times when you're fishing, hiking or otherwise out of contact, adding an extra level of security in the event of an emergency. For cryonics members, the app is designed to augment your current standby notification plans.

Set it up for yourself or someone else in three easy steps:

1. Pick contacts to message.
2. Set check-in frequency, e.g. every 4 hours.
3. Tell it when to be quiet, e.g. at night, while you sleep.

Customize to fit your lifestyle: Check in once a day, or once an hour. All day, or between certain hours - it's up to you. There is also an option for the timer to reset automatically when there is activity on the phone to reduce annoyance/hassle.

Alarm will vibrate 10 seconds then ring for 5 minutes, and repeat indefinitely. The automated message should be sent out after 10 minutes if you have pressed "No, I need help!", but not yet pressed "yes" or "no".
