i have followed a strict dietary regimen for the past 5 or 6 years that i believe has helped, at least in part, maintain nearly wrinkle-free facial skin in my early 30's.

despite having "young" looking skin in some ways, i have relatively large pores and am very prone to fungal seb derm outbreaks.

i use nothing topically on my skin whatsoever as it is quite sensitive, but i would like to begin using a mild facial cleanser and perhaps exfoliator. i would prefer something with no fragrance (as i am sure most here would recommend in the first place) and minimal chemicals.

any ideas?

i actually picked up this product by desert essence, which features tea tree oil, tonight from trader joe's.

it seems to have garnered nice reviews, and i like the ingredient profile. does this seem to be a good choice?

Purpose (available in any drugstore in liquid and bar formulations) has been recommended to me by several dermatologists over the years. Soap free, fragrance free, very mild, doesn't leave any pore-clogging residue behind, cheap and widely available. It can be slightly drying, however, so I'd also make sure to use a moisturizer with it.

Since you mention exfoliation, I've been really happy with glycolic acid. I've found that it decreased my pore size.

ive been using aquaglycolic facial cleanser and im quite happy with it... its very gentle, cleans as effectively as any of the LRP cleansers ive used but is way less drying and the balance between glycolic acid and PH is perfect... it exfoliates well but isnt irritating.

+ the fact that you can get it pretty cheap at most drugs stores is always nice too :D
