I'm currently taking 50 mg sertraline per day, and 45 mg mirtazapin.

can I combine this with 1 mg Selepryl daily or a couple of times a week without adverse reactions?

Please advise

I have read as many of the old threads regarding selegiline as I could find and I've looked all over the web. It seems that doses below 10 mg a day of selegiline hcl is safe to use with SSRI's as low doses doesn't inhibit MAO-A, but I haven't been able to find the corresponding values for selegiline citrate. all I could find out so far is that the citrate is "superior" and more effective.

Does anyone have experience of using liquid selegiline with SSRI's?
Selegiline+mirtazapin?

thanks in advancce

I take 200mg-300mg daily of tramadol which is an SNRI along with 0mg-3mg daily of liquid selegiline citrate and have no problems.

There is some limited evidence suggesting that Selegiline can be combined with SSRIs, but the risk doesn't seem worth it. Sertraline is less selective at 5-HT sites than newer SSRIs (e.g. escitalopram), and may have some dopaminergic activity - increasing the likelihood of an interaction with Selegiline.

What do you think of this combo:

5mg Adderall XR 2 times daily (10mg total)

1mg selegiline citrate 2 times daily (2mg total)

100mg tramadol 2 times daily (200mg total)

100mg caffeine (via coffee) 2 times daily

80mg tea (green & yerbe mate mixture) 1 time daily

ANY INTERACTIONS? AT THESE SUCH LOW DOSAGES?

1mg of deprenyl/selegiline/selepryl per day is just fine with a low to medium dose of an SSRI. You are well within the safety range of Deprenyl only inhibiting MAO-B which is pretty specific for Dopamine

I've been taking 1 mg of Deprenyl Citrate with 40 mg of Prozac for a long time and had nothing but positive results

I think I will augment it to this for safety concerns:

5mg Adderall XR once daily (5mg total)

1mg selegiline citrate 2 times daily (2mg total)

50mg tramadol 3 times daily (150mg total)

100mg caffeine (via coffee) 2 times daily

80mg tea (green & yerbe mate mixture) 1 time daily

forgot to mention the following

piracetam 1.4 g 3x a day

centro 200mg 3x a day

alcar 500mg 3x a day

ala 200mg 3x a day

adaptogenic herb combo consisting of all adaptogens except for bacopa and maca

and the standards

I'm also taking 100-200mg/day of Tramadol (almost 2 years now), and was hoping to try deprenyl for attention/mood. Given this info, maybe 0.5-1mg, but I'd like to get some more opinions first.

Did you end up going with this regimen? Any negative effects? Did you get the effects from Deprenyl that you were hoping for?

The general consensus seems to be that this is unsafe, but I'd still like to know how it went.
