Hi everyone,

My Piracetam just arrived in the mail.

I think that a so-called "attack dose" is the best way to go.

The only question is, what amount would be best for an attack dosage? 2g? 3g? 4g? per day?

Plus, how many times would you recommend taking an attack dose per day?

For example, I wonder should I do 1g of Piracetam 4x per day? What constitutes an attack dose?

Any advice regarding this question is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

I started with 1200mg in the morning and 1200mg in the evening.
Now I'm down to 1200mg in the morning.

my "attack dose" is 1.6 grams but generally in my experience it makes sense
to vary the dosage... from 400mg to 1600mg in my case, occasionally with
aniracetam and always >250mg choline. no idea, but dose varying works best for me.

so... how does it feel to take 4+ grams more than once a day?
any non-negative effects anyone? I'd really be interested

I took a whole bunch for the first two days. I noticed a distinct improvement in creative and analytical thought. I played cards very well. Perhaps a little bit foggy, but that is to be expected when my choline at that stage was all from ortho mind. You do not attack dose ortho mind for the choline content.

i took 4x tablets over 4 hours of piracetam this morning with a single dose of 500~1000mg of choline.
(the tablets are 800mg) so thats 3.2g.

i can't tell if it's making me better or worse, i definitely feel the effects, my mind feels foggy and thought processes a little different but i can't tell if its an improvement!! is this normal? should i be taking more choline or something???

An "attack dose" implies first-time use only, when your body is not yet familiar with the substance. You give yourself a higher dose than you're going to be taking daily, but once your body sees what piracetam is, you can then take much smaller quantities for the same effect.

So taking an attack dose every day is incorrect phrasing IMO. What you wanna do is take 1-2.4g for your attack dose the first time around, then take around 800-1500 for the remainder of the time.

There is absolutely no need to take such huge doses of piracetam consistently for it to be effective (it will not be more effective just because you take 2-3 grams more than you're supposed to) and some of the dosing regimens I see on here make me wonder if people have steel and titanium kidneys nowadays and I just missed that boat  :)

what happens if you take an excessive amount of piracetam everyday like more than 10 grams?

The LD50 for Piracetam is at about 10g/kg when injected intravenously. That doesn't mean however that long-term high-dose exposure won't mess with your stomach and kidneys. Hyper- and hypotension are also among the list of side effects, so I'd imagine they increase profoundly at higher doses.

I'm not so sure an attack dose is necessary when starting out. Maybe something like ~2.4g 2-3x daily for a week or two, then down to 2x 800-1200mg?

russianbear has it right. Piracetam has a bell-shaped response curve. Taking too much feels like taking too little.

I noticed potent effects from 1 800 milligram capsule. But at the time I also read about the attack dose so I took 3200mg throughout the day. It gave me a headache but it definitetly enhanced the vividness of color. I think it all depends. Start low and if you don't notice anything keep upping until you feel something. Do that for a few days then go back down. Stay as low as possible for as long as possible. I think I got a little carried away and in my second year using it I was taking huge doses and got a tolerant to it. I now only megadose for a few days at a time and try to keep my doses normally around 6-8 grams which is very low for me. This is after 3-4 years use

With the utmost respect this poll is in fact a NONSENSE; see THIS thread for details: PIRACETAM DOSAGE - Why you should be taking 4.8 grams / dose :)

Will you expand that thought into an articulate or discussable idea? Announcing, implicitly, you think "<noun> sucks" doesn't communicate anything about the substance of your thoughts or experiences to the world.

I was asking you to explain why you came to your conclusion. "sucks -> piracetam" really isn't much more clear than "piracetam sucks". I really don't care so you don't have to bother answering if your idea of clarification is to change the order of your two word utterance. fire bad! bad fire! Awesome, thanks for that.

Hi,

I am considering the use of Piracetam to enhance my learning abilities.
I am a 29 year old male and need to study really hard for the next 6 months.
My intelligence is 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. (I consider 7 as the average intelligence).
The main issue that I face while learning is... I am easily distracted and that makes the learning slower.
Something like, to go over one page, it takes me 25 mts, where it would take me only 7-8 minutes if I did it with full concentration. I am able to achieve some amount of concentration through meditation etc, but that is not meeting the requirements.
I also experience sluggishness, which I get over by using 2 strong cups of coffee during the day (one at 11 am and the second one at 4 pm)

My questions are:

1. How much Piracitam do I need to take per day? And in what dosages?
2. What should be the dosage timings?
3. Do I need to take some additional suppliments with Piracitam? I have heard that you need to take omega 3 capsules and something called choline?

Please advice.

I am from India, and there is very little information on these things here. Hence, I am relying on your help.

Thanks,

Captain.

  • 4.8g dose/day until you found over-stimulation .
  • 3 times/day
  • Choline is essential co-supplement for Piracetam efficiency .
    Calcium/Glutamic non-essential co-supplement :)
Hope it help you .

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. :-D

I got my Piracitam today. Will start it after one day.

I am unable to get any Choline anywhere.

It is very strange, considering the fact that this stuff is made in India and sold abroad. (I am in India). I havnt been able to find a solution to this issue.

After reading other forums, I am trying to substitute choline with Omega 3 capsules (Cod liver oil). I have been taking 4 grams of cod liver oil per day for the last 2 days. I split the dosage into 3 parts.

If you have any advice, please do share.

Thanks,

Captain
