Different Life Sciences DC projects

ImmInst currently helps to sponsor The Longevity Meme team with the Folding@Home project, and we would encourage everyone to be a part of the team since it is the most "high profile" of the DC projects related to protein folding.


However, in the interest of full disclosure, there are a number of other distributed computing projects out there which seek to address life sciences (related to folding) in many different ways. There are currently about 7 major (and likely many more minor) projects looking at different aspects of the science: Rosetta@Home, Proteins@home, TANPAKU, Predictor@home, Folding@Home, SIMAP, and HPF

For the differences in what these projects look at, see this link on the different goals of the different life sciences projects.
