This is a topic of volunteer opportunities for Advocacy & Research of Unlimited Lifspans.

If your looking for a way to get involved, look through and consider the volunteer opportunities in this list. At this stage in the progress of Advocacy & Research for Unlimited Lifespans, every volunteer helps make a critical difference. This is not only because your efforts add contributions for the cause, but most of all it is because this growing core of volunteers is inspiring more people to volunteer. This in turn helps strengthen the cause across the board, from instilling more confidence in larger and larger investors, to attracting general resources, and driving up participation and visibility for the cause. This is the kind of thing that is going to take us to the next level. Your efforts mean the most in these fragile growing stages.

In short, your support is priceless. Please do volunteer as soon as you can make the time and find it with in yourself to make that move.

You can also:

-- Keep an eye on this developing sign up card. This is a key sign up piece and will be ready as soon as we can get it worked out.
-- add your name to the list of people interested in volunteering here
-- let us help you figure out where you fit in best by answering this question here

As Maharishi Mahesh Yogi said,
"The important thing is this: to be able, at any moment, to sacrifice what we are for what we could become. "

And as Theodore Roosevelt said,
"Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing."

Besides the big incentives in what it means to this cause, there are also some small incentives. Volunteers earn points that are valuable with in the cause. [/url] The value of this prize is expected to go up in value over time. Volunteers also have the option of having their names published in the lists of volunteers in imminst.org/newsletter and various other places.

If you have any questions let us know in the forum or by pm.

The Internetworking team, (INW) is a team that does internet networking in a coordinated effort. This team evolved from the ideas and ambitions of many members. This is a really great way to help this cause go viral.

Every time you work with this cause you are cashing in your time for visiblity for this cause. Every time you work with any of the links in any of the sections of the team you are generating awareness. You are also inspiring more people to join this team. If you join and inspire two more later down the road, and they each inspire two more, and all the other team members inspire two more, and the work of each of these team members generates awarness for the cause for 30 people per month, (each topic we generate, generates about 30 views from the general public) then this team will continue to be more and more of a success for this crucial time sensative cause.

Please consider joining this team. We need you. Its really easy to get involved and it has really high impact rewards for the cause.

The Art Team is recruiting team members and team helpers.

The link to the team topic is here: http://www.imminst.o...eam-t29430.html

We need you today. All these small combined efforts go a long, long ways for many reasons. The Art Team works on a variety of things. So far they have made flyers, banners, moving graphics, paintings, drawings, logos, posters, t shirt designs, and a variety of other things. They have also conducted a few live art shows.

The opportunities abound. In the future there will be books, newsletters, conferences, commericials and billboards to create art for amongst many other things. There is also a fund raiser developing specifically for this team. You can request money the way it is, but with this dedicated fund you will have a better chance of getting the grant. There are many ways you could leverage this money, such as buying istock photos and video clips, buying video editing software, purchasing painting materials, commisioning a bill board artist to implent your design etc.. Whether this fund raiser is implemented as official or non official is yet to be seen.

There is no commitment, to join you simply enter a list and receive memos and reminders. You then contribute when you can, whether that be for half an hour ever two months, or 10 hours a week.

Again, those guidelines for the team and for joining are outlined at this link: http://www.imminst.o...t...308823&st=0

VIP Outreach Team

The Contacting VIP project is a a project where we are writing letters and sending books to people who have some fame and notoriety, and who we think could help our cause in some way. These people could act as a supporter of our cause and help get other people interested and involved through talking about life extension on talk shows and the like. If we get famous scientists involved like Richard Dawkins, he could than write articles about life extension that hopefully could end up in more mainstream media.

If you would like to join the team go here: http://www.imminst.o...rum-t30677.html

We need help from people who are willing to send a templated letter to VIP's. We are aiming at getting 3 new people put into the Wiki every week. There will be a phone call made to the VIP or their publicist asking if they received the letter, although me may go for a different idea if that doesn't seem good.

In our letter we may ask the VIP to come on and speak to us on the Sunday evening chat channel. Eventually one goal is to get certain VIP's to donate to the cause in some way. Just remember the more famous people we can influence the more people will start seeing radical life extension in a much better light.

The Longevity Meme Folding@Home Team

Link: imminst.org/fah

Join the folders crew at the above link. By doing so, you donate your computers spare cpu cycles to Stanford University's widely popular protein folding simulation program. You may have seen this advertised through such places as X Box.

This program helps scientists gain an understanding of proteins. The folding of a protein that may have taken months-or-years to simulate on some of the most powerful computers in the world, can be done with the help of all of our computers, combined. Proteins, as you probably know, are very involved in many aspects of the mechanisms surrounding the 7 forms of damage that accumulate and cause aging. Understanding these proteins is very important.

Today, from your home, you can help Stanford researchers to unravel the mysteries of proteins and protein folding. Join our growing team. The Longevity Meme team is currently ranked in the top 100 teams (of more than 166,000 teams) and on our way up. By joining, you have the opportunity to enter the Longevity Meme Folding@Home prize drawing as outlined at the above link.

The Longevity Meme Folding@Home Team recruiters team

Link: http://www.imminst.o...eam-t32256.html

This team will be recruiting a set number of folders for the team per month. The team minimum is currently set at 1 folder recruit needed per month.

Join today. If you have any questions, you can ask them in the topic, or by personal message. The rules are simple, recruit folders by sending them to the imminst.org/fah link, and list the recruits you have gotten in the Recruit Team thread.

Participation Primer

If your looking for a fun, flexible, easy way to volunteer for the cause then this may be for you.

Some things you would do include:

1. Welcoming new members. Look through the list of new members on a weekly basis and send as many of them as you can personalized welcome messages. I can help you customize a basic structure to help engage people.

2. Respond to good topics that are orientated toward indefinite life extension that were created by people that are online now. When people see that their topics are active, they are more likely to respond, rather than stopping by and leaving.

3. Help people filter their forums. Encourage people to filter their forums in any way you can.

4. Other misc.

Every little thing adds up and is a tremendous help. We'll enter you in the monthly volunteer prize drawing for this, but most of all it helps keep participation flowing, which encourages more and allows us to grow, and it inspires more people to join.
