I'm new to this site, and had never before heard that Rhodiola was problematical due to the MAOI effect.

I take an SSRI and have taken Rhodiola off and on over the past few months with no side effects.

I've also eaten cheese and drunk red wine on days when I took Rhodiola, without having any high blood pressure crisis.

So I'm wondering... is Rhodiola a powerful MAOI or just a weak one?

And is it irreversible, or reversible. If reversible, then presumably the 'cheese crisis' problem is eliminated.

What are the details on Rhodiola?

I am actually super curious as to the potential MAOI strength of a number of foods/sups and haven't been able to find much literature at all on it..... Dill, Black Pepper and Tumeric are staples of my diet to name a few.....

I hope someone can shed some light on this one as well....
