Sorry you won't be making it Caliban, I do look forward to meeting ImmInst members that will be able to attend. I'm especially excited about an 11 year old boy who has read my book "21st Century Kids" cover to cover and loves it (my passion is teaching children about the possibilities of what humans can accomplish, such as ending aging). There will be a reporter, so maybe something positive will come about media wise for ImmInst. I will talk about what ImmInst does, its successes in the last year, why I'm a member--and in particular about our current need for leadership in 2010. I know that some of the Extrobritannia/WTAUK members are quite active and would be a great asset if they start participating in our community as well.

Adam, yes you can film it-but I'd like to ok it before it would be make public--one never knows what comes up in a live situation--but a transhumanist crowd will be more friendly than some interviews I've done

It was a lot of fun to share the Immortality Institute's goals, success and history with the 40 people who were there. Two reporters talked with me, one is working on a documentary about life extension in the UK.

I watched the whole thing. I thought you peaked their interest in Imminst. You covered a lot of great aspects of whats going on. That seemed like a tough crowd. I felt like you would have been well off if a few people from imminst could have been in the crowd to help throw you a few more good pitches after what looked like some curve balls, but over all I think you held your own well, great in many cases.

I think these kinds of speeches make for great discussions for us all so we can continue to hone in and tweak and prepare for the waves of opportunities like these that the future is sure to hold. If I get time Im going to create a list of your talking points from this speech, go over some talking points from other similar speeches, and mark down the ones I think worked and tweak others. For example, I think there was more room to paint a more forceful picture of what imminst is doing and where we are going.

I also like the dynamic that H+ chapters bring to the table. This makes me think that maybe scheduling a more regular presentation from imminst would work out well.

Exciting news, however they make me feel suspicious in wonder about how great scientific progress will intervene with human nature itself!

I have but one problem concerning great progress leading to preventing common aging time. It's a big question I know pertaining to what is the subnormal nature of humans and how does it interplay the aging process?
I know a danger that can haunt humanity concerning what is nnormal aging and what is mutant programing - How's that?</sup>
