There are several peptides with nootropic and similar activities - it seems they don't get the attention they worth.
Semax is the ACTH analog - Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro - tested, clinically being used and available - at least in Russia.

Hello amrit,

Indeed, these links that you have placed are very interesting. Effective in healthy individuals, no negetive side effects discovered so far, and nonaddictive.

The availability seems to be the only problem. But if its readily available and the price is reasonable, then send me a few dozen bottles! [sfty]

That's a good point, how long before GNC start stocking this, do you think?

It does look interesting though. Proably the only way to get hold of this would be to raise enough interest for a group buy through Nootropica.com.

Interesting compound.

"Injections are not needed to introduce the drug, it can be simply applied by dropping in the nose, and 4 minutes later the drug takes effect. "

spider, it's sold in many drugstores here, about 140RUR ($5) for 3ml 0,1% and 700RUR ($25) for 3ml 1%, but delivery abroad is a real question, I can give no advice here. The main indication is cerebral thrombosis, but the students learned to use it as nootropic. It is registered also in Ukraine, Belarus and Indonesia (seriously).
Company site is here: (Cyrillic Windows)

Other substances of this origin are noopept (Ph-CH2-CO-Pro-Gly-OEt) and a series of dipeptides like pGlu-dAla-NH2 and pGlu-Asn-NH2.

Thanks for the information Amrit. Have you tried Semax or Noopept yourself?

The effect of new nootropic dipeptides--noopept (N-phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine, GVS-111) and its metabolite (cyclo-L-prolylglycine)--and a standard nootrope piracetam on the transcallosal evoked potential (TEP) in rat brain was studied. In the dose range from 150 to 300 mg/kg, piracetam increased the TEP amplitude, which exhibited a maximum after 1.5-2 h and then gradually decreased. Both noopept and cyclo-L-prolylglycine also increased the TEP amplitude, which attained a plateau and retained this level over the entire observation time (above 3.5 h). All the nootropes studied increased both components of the evoked potential. Piracetam and cyclo-L-prolylglycine led to an approximately equal increase in both waves, while noopept induced a somewhat greater increase in the negative TEP wave amplitude. It is suggested that the positive effect of noopept and cyclo-L-prolylglycine upon the interhemispheric signal transfer (indicated by the improved transcallosal response) can be considered as a potential neurophysiological basis for a positive drug influence on the behavioral level.

Jeromewilson -- irony of life!! -- i've brought to existence a lot of (speaking modestly) this substance (not the scientific idea but the material itself [glasses] ), but never had a chance to taste it. I'll prepare a solution and do it now - or tomorrow! As for noopept - it is very actual as well, but no personal experience yet ...

I agree with you. Maybe Jeff (nootopica.com) or other nootropic suppliers have connections in Eastern Europe or Russia to buy Semax. Perhaps, we should ask them.

I'm looking forward to your report. [thumb]

I've just placed a topic in the subforum "Nootropic Suppliers Discussion". I addressed the message to all the nootropic suppliers, and I've asked them if they are able to obtain Semax for us. Let's see what they say.

Perhaps, you will like Semax so much that you will emigrate to Russia. :)
