Wouldn't such a change require study and a qualification in biotech?

Depends on the role you're looking to fill. Wouldn't there are plenty of support roles that people might be qualified for? Accounting or IT for instance?

Maybe you'd like to get involved with a Startup Hangout? I'm sure web designers would be needed there. The startup hangout aims to help people meet to start companies and provide investment for ideas.

If you've filled out the unofficial questionnaire (hover for details) you'll get an invite when it happens.

I'd be interested for sure. I've felt for a long time that my skills could be applied to biotech/LE more directly. Also while I don't have a science degree I have a fairly extensive personal background associated with it (paramedic training, medical family, decades of personal research) if I wanted to get a science degree I would have a much easier time than some people.
Relocation could be a problem, but, I'd rather concern myself with that after investigating options if it was an issue.

To use these Google hangouts I assume you need a Google plus account?
I was able to log in with a basic google account. It may have converted it to a plus (not sure) but it was free in any case.

I have posted in Googly support, so hopefully I will be able to get more involved soon.

I would love to change industries. I currently work as a Market Data Analyst for an energy company, a lot of my focus is on process improvement and business development initiatives.
Most likely content on relocating if necessary
