So what are we actually targeting in the the glucosepane molecule? Is the cycloheptane ring that needs to be broken? Is it still a cycloheptane ring if it has a nitrogen attached to it? Wikipedia finally has a picture, so maybe we can get some visual explanations.

Also, wasn't there someone who had synthesized a large quantity of glucosepane and was giving it out? Have we seen new perspective drug candidates come from that?
