Hi everyone

Being a 47 year old female I'm starting to read about the lead up to menopause (eek!)....and as I was reading, an article said to keep having sex as it encourages female hormones to be generated....

Which led me to wondering, does sex activate the surtuin genes?

Which led to a couple of other questions I'd had in my mind also, cold showers and swimming in the cold sea (saw it on tv recently), do these sort of things activate the surtuins?  They would 'tell' the body it's under threat I think....

Thanks for reading, wasn't sure where else in the forum to ask these things, lol.
