Hello, I'm a new member at this forum and am kinda new to anything anti-aging related. What would you tell a person in their early twenties to start doing or stop doing right now? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

If I could do it all over again I would do the following:

Consistently eat more soluble fiber from greens, seeds, nuts and berries. I'd try to make 2/3 of my meals healthy like that. Fiber improves insulin function and slows sugar and thus glycation, which keeps the ECM and thus, skin, healthy.

I'd consistently exercise in some form, I'd probably also use the sauna even at that age.

I'd stay out of the sun when I can and use UVB/UVA blocking lotion otherwise, I would never sun tan, I'd also take plenty of vitamin D with my meals.

I'd focus on good sleep hygiene.

I'd also do whatever I could to keep good insulin function. Slowing the accumulation of AGE crosslinks will help a lot.

Stick with just these things alone and you're probably going to turn out better than everyone around you.

After my late 20's I did and would still start moisturizing day and night with creams, except back then there weren't many good options as there are now. There's matrixyl 3000 serums with vitamin C in hyaluronic acid, there's ceramide creams also with hyaluronic acid, I'd use those consistently twice a day not just on my face but hands and anywhere else.

I smoked a lot of pot in my 20's and early 30's. Vapes didn't exist back then but I'd probably have limited that to a very large degree or made edibles. Smoking is not good no matter what it is you're inhaling. Keep that to a minimum. It's terrible for skin.

I did look at CeraVe but it has the toxic Phenoxyethanol in it.  Phenoxyethanol is bad for you.

Avoid sun sugar stress smoke. Dont let your weight fluxuate. Avoid alcohol. Lots of sleep. Niacin seems to have improved my skins appearance. Liposomal resveratrol. Lots of vitamin c.

I do get Astaxanthin in the Krill Oil I take.

For one thing, no it doesn't, it's not in CeraVe or at least it's not in the one I'm recommending. When it is found in skin care products it's not in the specific form and small quantities used in skin care products. It's actually found in green tea extract too. There are a lot of things that are bad for you in high doses but very safe or sometimes even good for you in low doses.

One other thing... Avoid physical labor except for exercise. Most people i know who perform manual labor seem to age faster.

Maintain a low-normal body weight and stay there. Don't fluctuate too much...  When you protect your skin, it will remain tight and look young.

Obviously, you want to include lots of fruits and vegetables in your diet. Drink healthier drinks regularly like green tea.

Avoid sun damage by using and applying a good sunscreen often and/or go out in the morning and evenings if possible.

Start using skin serums/creams now. Fine lines around the eyes will be the first thing to show up. I personally use both  AGE interrupter at night (heavy) and Skinceuticals eye balm in the day (light).

Use a Vitamin C serum (I prefer SkinCeuticals, but they are expensive..)

Stop pulling exaggerated facial expressions lol. Some people scrunch up their entire forehead when they talk... I naturally never do this, but people have that habit and get some deep forehead lines in their 20s from it.

Don't party hard. Stop drinking too much alcohol. Never smoke.

Live a life that is as stress-free as possible.

Most of these are under your control :D
