The Elysium study went for 8 weeks, not 12 weeks. At the 4 week mark for 500 mg NR/100 mg of pterostiline, NAD+ levels reached 90% and no moblity or balance improvements. After week 8, NAD+ levels dropped to 55%, not 40%. We don't know if the NAD+ level dropped below 55% after that. The 60% increase at the end of 6 weeks is showing the NAD+ level on a downward path that the Elysium graph showed. Also, it is likely that the U of Colorado trial didn't last long enough for improvement in mobility considering the Elysium trial showed the 8% improvement after 8 weeks and not after 4 weeks.
Charles Brenner said at a talk in late 2016 that he thought studies would accumulate over time that show the positive effects of NR for people with metoblic related health problems. I'm about to write up what has happened to my friend's mother who has dementia after she started to take 250 mg of NR on the NR experience thread..
