It's been a good interview so far. They talk about calorie restriction, nutrition, longevity drugs such as rapamycin, exercise, centenarians, and extending lifespan.

What is up with Joe saying he would be fine with dying at 100? Even if LE treatments were available.

Someone get Aubrey back on there. :)

It's still live.. enjoy. :)

If one wants to avoid the discussion of extreme feats of swimming, other exercise, chit chat and their hunting animals: I would start about 60 minutes in.

Matt, how do you feel about his opinion based on the monkey study, that it showed that caloric restriction with a healthy diet is not effective for longevity. Although, caloric restriction with a bad diet can extend longevity? I might have heard wrong, so please correct me. He said that he wrote aboul it in one of his blog posts.

He does not think that there is enough information to support that time restricted eating, or fasting mimicking diet will extend longevity.

https://peterattiamd...onkey-studies/ " Calorie restriction: Part IIA – monkey studies" I did not read this yet.

He discusses Rapamycin, which it appears he said that he is waiting for more information for himsellf, and to use with patients. He makes an interesting comment that he believes "we will all be taking it"

It's amazing how much they talk about sports vs. lifespan/health.  Understandable, but not what I expected.  It's like 20 mins of longevitys talk and 2 hrs of steroids/sports/extreme athletes.
