I would like some advice on bromocriptine. I've been reading a lot of benefits related to leptin reset.  I have binge eating disorder.  I was very restrictive with food for a very long time and messed up my leptin levels where now I am unable to control the amount of food I eat.  I have been in counseling for this for a long time.  This year i started zonisamide and low dose naltrexone.  I already use Vyvance and Wellbrutin for ADHD and binge eating disorder.  All four in combination are a miracle for me.  I feel like I can finally control things and have a normal life.  However, I still feel like like leptin is messed up. I have fat that just won't go away and am chronically hungry without medication.  I also know the effects of the medication will not last forever. I use vyvance 4 days per week.  Wellbutrin 300mg daily. Zonisamide 300mg daily, LDN 6mg daily.

I was considering cycling off Vyvance, Zonisamide and Wellbutrin. I was taking Memantine prior to Zonisamide however wanted to try zonisamide for the effects on pain. I like both and zonisamide helps more with food cravings.  I took a month break from Vyvance and Wellbutrin last month after being on it for 5 straight months.  I had the worst month in a long time. Tired, brain fog, no energy, no motivation, body aches, and depression.

I was hoping bromocriptine would be a good cycle to take a break from Vyvance and wellbrutrin but I also think it wouldn't really work at all since they all work on dopamine.  Vyvance and Wellbutrin also work on norepinephrine where bromocriptine is all dopamine.

Am I playing a dangerous game here? I am very responsible with experimentation, I just do not want to permanently alter my brain chemistry, especially when it comes to dopamine.  If I use bromocriptine, would I make Vyvance and Wellbrutin less effective when going back on them?  Is bromocriptine hard to get off of?

Thank you for your advice.
